| TOXIC APOCALYPSE HALL OF FAME Toxic Apocalypse Sites are defined as major environmental catastrophes caused by humans. Often these former places are too toxic to clean up or towns and neighborhoods that have been permanently evacuated. These are not simply polluted places or sites of isolated catastrophes: in order to be considered for a Toxic Apocalypse location, an environmental disaster must involve large numbers of humans and massive amounts of contamination over time. Willful malfeasance and arrogance on the part of authorities is virtually always part of the story. What will the planet look like when they are finished? |
